West Surrey Foundation (WSF)
Shawfield Primary School is part of WSF, a confederation of local schools. The aim is to share best practice and work together to improve educational standards within our partner schools.
Groups within each of the schools meet to share information and to strategically plan for the future. These groups include Governors, Head teachers and Bursars. Working as a group we have been able to secure discounts for purchasing, and training. We continue to work to develop standard policies and other resources that ensure the success of the schools involved in the confederation.
Surrey Family Information Service
Surrey Family Information Service (FIS) aim to support all parents and carers, professionals, children and young people (aged 0-25), to enable them to make informed decisions about services or support they may want or need to access.
We can help find organisations and services to support you with a number of different subjects including childcare, family finance, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), education, health and well-being, local leisure activities and available support services. Or, if you would like to self-serve, we have created a directory of over 8,000 services to enable you to do so.
We also have an enquiry service where you can contact the team for further help or information either online, over the phone or by email.
Surrey FIS make sure that families with children and young people (aged 0-25) with a special educational need or disability are able to find information and services available to them through the Surrey SEND Local Offer.
Surrey’s new Early Help Hubs also use our service to look for information and local support services available for the families they are working with.
